BOULDER COLORADO COLLEGIANS PAYS A VISIT TO TUCSON
The Boulder Collegians out of Boulder, Colorado and a member of the Rocky Mountain College League will pay a visit to Tucson and play a three game series against teams from the Sun Belt College League.
The series will start with the first game on Sunday, June 3 at 7:00 PM at Kino Stadium. The second game of the series will be played on Monday, June 4 at 7:00 PM at Kino Stadium, and the series will conclude on Tuesday, June 5 at 7:00 PM at the Kino South Fields. Teams to play the Boulder Collegians to be announced.
The Boulder Collegian Baseball Club began in 1964 when a man named Bauldie Moschetti recruited a team of elite college players from around the country. The Collegians quickly became a national powerhouse under Moschetti and won four (4) NBC World Series Championships (1966,1967,1975 & 1978). The team dissolved in 1980 and began its re-emergence in the summer of 2013.
Notable Former Collegians
The Collegian have had famous former players including Tony Gwynn, Joe Carter, Joe Maddon (Current Cubs Manager), Burt Hooton and Larry Gura.
